When Chad met Chris...In 2012, Food Network Star and restauranteur Chad Rosenthal and Philly BBQ pioneer Chris McHugh (who successfully launched the California-bred Baby Blues BBQ in University City) teamed up to bring Memphis-style BBQ to Ambler, PA, and The Lucky Well was born.

Since its doors opened, The Lucky Well has been serving up some of the best Memphis-style ribs, brisket, smoked wings and side dishes one can find north of the Mason Dixon line.

While Chad's love and long-time study of BBQ is the heart and soul of the restaurant, The Lucky Well is so much more. Creative, seasonal comfort food, a full-service whiskey bar and a live blues lounge keep its happy guests coming back time and time again. The bar at The Lucky Well features a top-shelf whiskey collection, which compliment the flavors coming out of the kitchen, along with craft-brewed beers and scratch-made classic cocktails.

This Philly native eats, breathes, sleeps and creates all things food and especially barbecue. A self-taught chef who has been in the kitchen since age five, Chad found his calling in the world of barbecue, having won a series of competitions and events over the last 18 years. He is also a successful restaurateur, having opened a handful of BBQ, comfort food and Vietnamese restaurants in the Philadelphia area, including fan favorite The Lucky Well. The Lucky Well is currently expanding throughout the Philadelphia area and Chicago.

Most recently, Chad was cast on Season 9 of Food Network Star and returned as a fan Favorite in Season 10. He was a finalist on Chopped Grill Masters Napa and is currently in development on several new TV concepts. Chad is constantly on the hunt for new flavors and inspirations and loves to combine Live Fire cooking with True American BBQ, which he calls "Plating With Fire". He feels that great food and service just isn't good enough anymore and he's now on a mission to deliver culinary experiences. He is, at his core, an experimental chef who cooks through his soul, his experiences, and his taste buds...
